Light Vehicle Training
The light vehicle driving improvement course is a combination of classroom and hands-on training, allowing the student to put into practice the skills discussed in the classroom. Classroom training focuses on the proper driving techniques to use in all driving conditions and circumstances. It is designed to be a proactive approach to preventing motor vehicle collisions. Hands-on training, as noted, allows the students to practice the skills instructed in the classroom. It provides an opportunity for students to have their driving skills assessed and to gain valuable feedback after the evaluation for driving strengths and improvements as noted by the instructor.

The program also looks at the positive and negative behaviors of the students. The objective being to identify and reinforce the positive behaviors and provide the information to identify and correct the negative behaviors.

Theory is two hours and includes a three demerit reduction test. Hands-on training is five hours and consists of three segments.
